WELCOME

It’s not uncommon to see deer and their babies wandering the yard—a wonderful place to be at ease and focus on your pregnancy.

We offer comprehensive care that is compassionate, empathic and empowering to women and their families through a combination of wisdom from years of experience, university education and a shared passion and enthusiasm for watching families grow.

We provide prenatal care in two convenient locations: our clinic in Comox on Thursdays and Fridays, and Friday mornings at the Dunsmuir Medical Clinic, Cumberland.

WHO WE ARE

We are a group of midwives who work as a team. A woman and her family has the opportunity throughout her pregnancy to meet with each of the midwives that are working during her due date month.

We schedule two clinic days per week. You can expect to spend 30 minutes at a midwifery visit. We will see you every 4 to 5 weeks until you are 28 weeks pregnant, then every 2 to 3 weeks until 36 weeks then every 1 to 2 weeks for the latter part of your pregnancy. We will be with you for the duration of active labour and usually a few hours after the baby is born. You will also benefit from visits at home during the first week postpartum and in the clinic for the remaining six weeks.

NOW ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS

We invite you to set up an initial appointment with us to find out what your birthing options are in the Comox Valley. Midwifery services are completely covered by your medical services plan and have been regulated in BC since 1998.

Join us to find out what your options are for hospital births, home births and home water births. Your first visit with us is an information session where you can ask questions and find out what will suit you and your family.
