Vancouver Island Baby Fair
The Vancouver Island Baby Fair took place over the weekend of February 28 and March 1, 2009. Nearly 3000 people came through the doors of the Beban Park Social Centre to check out the booths of merchandise, services, and information for mothers-to-be and their families.
I would like to thank everyone who came by the Plum Midwifery booth and stayed for my presentation on midwifery on Saturday. We saw a mix of past clients, potential clients, current clients, young girls who wanted to be midwives, and droves of people who just wanted to know what a midwife is. We also made contacts with a few new companies to add to our resource site.
It was a fun weekend. I would like to extend a big thanks to my husband who helped me out with the set up and took care of my six week old, and to my son Seamus who dutifully slept most of the fair away. We'll see you next year.
Amy
